PROBLEMIn rural and tribal areas of Maharashtra, there are serious health problems. Because the income of people here is very low and dependent on agriculture. So people in rural areas and tribal areas ignore their health. This creates serious health problems. This deprived population of our country has no access to basic healthcare services or knowledge about the diseases they are suffering from. More often than not, people are not getting healthcare at the right time, often not seeing the doctor early enough before a small health problem turns serious.
Social Fro Action & Sakal Social Foundation has been organising multi-special Mega Health check-up camp for the rural and tribal men, women and children. Medical camps are conducted by health professionals to carry out a limited health intervention amongst the underprivileged community. The poor attend these camps to get free check-up and treatment. Health examinations and tests at the early stages of the illness can help to cure it faster and save a life before it can cause any damage. Even the most basic checkups can identify underlying illnesses.
